In August 2024, All MLSยฎ sales reached 1,483, marking a 7% increase compared to last year. The total dollar volume for these sales was $549 million, up 9%, even though active MLSยฎ listings were slightly down by 5%, at 4,015.

  • Residential Detached Homes: 1,030 homes were sold in August, a 2% rise from last year. The average price for these homes was $415,717, showing a 4% increase.

  • Condominiums: Condo sales climbed 8% to 210 units, although the average price dipped 3% to $270,575.

  • Residential Detached Homes: Year-to-date sales of 7,046 homes were up 9%, with the average price rising 6% to $424,164.

  • Condominiums: Condo sales for the year hit 1,542, up 11%, and the average price increased by 7% to $277,155.

  • Residential Attached Homes: These properties significantly increased, with sales rising 17% to 716 units and the average price climbing 9% to $363,940.

Daphne Shepherd, President of the Winnipeg Regional Real Estate Board, noted, โ€œFor seven out of the first eight months of 2024, sales in the main property typesโ€”residential-detached, condominiums, and residential attached homesโ€”have outpaced last year. This steady demand is especially noticeable in the condominium market, which continues to perform above the five-year average.โ€
